Die Reform des Kündigungsschutzes

Auf dem Arbeitsmarkt gibt es vielleicht keine umstritteneren Bestimmungen als die des Kündigungsschutzes - jenes komplexen Regelwerks aus Gesetzen und Verfahren, das bestimmt, wie Firmen Mitarbeiter einzustellen und zu entlassen haben.

Unternehmen bemängeln nicht nur die damit verbundenen direkten Kosten, sondern auch den Aufwand und die Unsicherheit im Zusammenhang mit derartigen Bestimmungen. Sie argumentieren, dass es ihnen behördliche Einschränkungen erschweren, sich an technologische Veränderungen und Produktnachfrage anzupassen. Dadurch verringere sich ihre Effizienz, die Kosten steigen, wodurch wiederum schließlich die Schaffung von Arbeitsplätzen behindert wird.

Auf der anderen Seite betonen Arbeitnehmer die Misere der Arbeitslosigkeit und meinen, dass eine derartige Notsituation von den Firmen berücksichtigt werden sollte, wenn sie Werkschließungen oder Entlassungen planen.
