欧洲再设想

法国的24个欧盟伙伴国以及那些渴望尽早加入欧盟的国家的许多公民对法国反对欧盟宪法条约一事怒火中烧——事实上,是义愤填膺。自从荷兰投了反对票之后,就有人担心对欧洲计划的不信任感将呈蔓延之势。

法国的投票主要表达了民众对我们统治阶层的反对以及对经济前景的深度忧虑。这是充满了痛苦和背弃的投票,是惊恐和愤怒推动下的冲动。

但是,这次否决票的范围之广也反映出一个事实,即我们的政治家对欧盟给欧洲人民的财富、竞争力、社会福利,当然还有和平能带来些什么一直缺乏明晰的解释。我们的政治家总是对欧洲不屑一顾,并把其实是由于国内不足所导致的问题(诸如失业率)归咎于欧盟。
