卡扎菲的西方朋友们


发自马耳他首都瓦莱塔——利比亚前领导人卡扎菲倒台潜逃之时也正是我们思考他何以能长久把持政权的时候。而对市场和金钱的贪婪似乎经常会压倒西方对所谓基本人权的关注。

各西方大国长期以来都与卡扎菲妥协。毕竟卡扎菲之所以能逃过美国前总统罗纳德·里根在1986年对他住所实施的惩罚性轰炸,就是因为意大利前总理贝蒂诺·克拉克西以及马耳他前总理卡梅奴·米夫苏德·博尼奇向他告了秘。


克拉克西在1992年面临牢狱之灾时逃离意大利,随后在另一个最近倒台的阿拉伯独裁者,突尼斯前总统本·阿里那里得到了庇护。而博尼奇则继续与利比亚独裁者巩固关系直到最后关头,甚至还有望获得卡扎菲颁布的人权奖。
