为了达到征服目的而分裂一个民族,这种非道德的战术策略却在历史上沿用至今。从亚历山大大帝时代到斯大林的冷血时代,统治者以各种形式实施此类策略,使人民臣服于他从而达到其个人意愿。

现在我们却又看到了弗拉基米尔·普京正在不动声色底秘密谋求恢复克林姆林宫的统治霸权,找回1991年苏联解体后“丢失的”对这片土地的控制权。在近期乌克兰大选中,普京冒险插了一手,却向世界表明了他的新帝国主义规划。

在基辅爆发大规模抗议活动之后,俄罗斯总统曾宣布他愿意和任何乌克兰人民选出的政府合作。但这只是口头承诺而已,无论从心里还是在行动上,普京都不会允许任何一个他不希望上台的人去统治乌克兰。为了达到这个目的,他不惜一切代价,因而传统的分裂威胁法又再次被使用。
