无法回头的气候拐点

马德里——在气候变化问题上,世界已经触及了无法回头的拐点。这听起来有些可怕,但我们恰恰需要如此:无法再继续重走老路,我们必须坚决确定未来的方向。

十一、十二月在巴黎召开的联合国气候变化会议将迈出重要的一步,世界领导人将在20多年来首次达成最重要的气候治理国际协议。但我们仍需就开辟充满活力的新低碳经济道路做出重要决策,上述经济必须能够支撑长期快速发展和日益繁荣的全球民众。

随着全球范围内的民众、企业和政府终于认识到气候变化的普遍性,今年的达成全面全球协议的会议前景相比2009年哥本哈根峰会无疑要乐观得多。可以肯定,未来的挑战涉及面既广泛又复杂;但人们越来越清楚地认识到过渡到低碳经济收获的经济利益将十分可观。
