十八个月撤军还是百年撤军?

    印第安纳州布隆明顿--丘吉尔曾经说过,在战争时代真相极为宝贵,必须要用“谎言保镖”层层围住。在美国总统选举中,以及不幸的是如今在伊拉克本身,伊拉克战争就是被谎言保镖围住。但是这一战争显然又增加了一大堆党派偏见造成的半对办错、玩世不恭的漠不关心以及无知的顽固。

    尽管没有任何有理性的观察家相信伊拉克军队可以在十八个月内确保伊拉克边境安全以及弹压国内难以计数、全副武装的民兵,但是美国民主党依旧继续主张在十八个月内把美军完全从伊拉克撤离。

    确实,民主党的计划(如果可以被称为计划的话)无视伊朗持续颠覆伊拉克国家机关,而伊拉克变得足够强大可以抵制这些阴谋前,这一颠覆还将继续。而且,奥巴马坚持说伊拉克从来没有在反恐战争中组成前沿阵地。这一言论侮辱了自2003年以来数以万计甚至十万计被基地组织人肉炸弹杀害的伊拉克平民以及美军。实际上,到了2004年,恐怖分子自己已经把伊拉克视为其斗争的前沿阵地。
