現代のフェミニストには居場所が無く、そしてそのために宗教復興の渦中にある社会、特にイスラム社会において、大きな前進は見込めないと思われがちである。しかし、近年モロッコで実際に見られた女性の権利の進展は、異なる状況を示唆する:非宗教的または宗教的な女性による活動のユニークな組み合わせ、政党の見積もり、そして王の重要な役割が、真の進展へとつながった。
