近日来,食品价格飙涨和食品安全担忧已经引发了全球焦虑。家长们强烈地感到家里都快揭不开锅了。而对于全世界最贫困人口来说,由于他们将收入的一大半用于食品支出,因此受到的冲击也最大,多年来在消除贫困方面所取得的进展有可能出现倒退。

食品价格频创新高的背后似乎有着不可阻挡的因素——大量国家饮食结构向高蛋白转变、人口数量不断增长、生物燃料使用量增加以及气候变迁。这些因素的存在意味着食品价格高企的状态将会延续。如果不能缓解供给压力,饥饿和营养不良将愈演愈烈。
