对战犯的审判曾经是一项严肃的事情。回想一下赫尔曼·戈林和鲁道夫·赫斯垂头丧气地坐在纽伦堡被告席上的样子。一些纳粹头目甚至在相对简短但却公平的审判后被处以绞刑。

现在,对世界上最邪恶的政治头目的司法程序已经变成闹剧了。对萨达姆·侯赛因及其复兴主义党羽的审判是一连串令人难堪的尴尬。被告尝试了一个接一个的花招,而萨达姆则竭其所能地藐视法庭法,只差“调戏”法官了。我们很难期望审判能够产生一个在伊拉克人或者世界眼中的公平结果。
