马来西亚的伊斯兰化

近20年以来,执政的马来民族统一机构(简称UMNO,也称巫统)政府投资了大量公共资源用于建设伊斯兰教机构。而政府的最初意图原本是希望把要求实行极端伊斯兰式管治的激进派诉求安抚下来.然而随着时间的推移,巫统试图压制批评声音的努力却导致了整个国家的过分伊斯兰化。

巫统已经在马来西亚国内启用了伊斯兰教法、宗教法庭以及大规模伊斯兰官僚机构,而这一整套系统已经开始自行运转起来。获得通过的伊斯兰教法数量在近10年时间里整整翻了四倍。位居伊朗和沙特阿拉伯之后,马来西亚的伊斯兰法庭体系或许是整个穆斯林世界里最庞大的,而与其伴生的官僚体制不仅庞大,甚至比国家议会更有发言权。
