钟爱美国的赤字

随着疲弱的美元像一把达摩克利斯之剑一样高悬在世界经济之上,几乎所有人都在追忆着美国铺张挥霍的习惯。但我们是否想到过美国人需要如何辛劳才能使其他所有人的日子好过呢?

由于美国的巨大贸易逆差,现今所有发展中国家的财政部长的最大一桩心病就是如何让本国的货币与美元的比价不要上升得过快。这样的情况上次发生是在什么时候?从墨西哥到俄罗斯到南韩,这些被慢性债务危机困扰的国家都竭力阻击着投机资本的流入。这些资本来自于那些为在美元崩溃时寻找资本退出机制的投资者。

通常,当世界经济走出低谷,全球利率上升时,至少会有一两个新兴市场国家会遭受沉重的经济打击。而这次却似乎不竟然,这少不会在未来这一年。
