对抗气候变化的更好方法

纽约——在世界所有主要地区中,欧洲为贯彻应对人为气候变化的政策付出了最艰苦的努力。但欧洲对策的基础,也就是欧洲大陆实行的导致气候变化温室气体的排放交易制度已经陷入困局。这告诉我们欧洲和世界各国都必须找到一条更好的出路。

人为气候变化的原理对全球公众而言已经不再陌生。大气中二氧化碳、甲烷和一氧化二氮等几种气体的浓度上升导致地球升温。温室气体排放随世界经济发展而增长,由此导致人为气候变化的步伐加速向前迈进。

二氧化碳是主要的温室气体。全球能源消耗随世界经济增长而上升,燃烧煤、石油和天然气等化石能源排出绝大部分的二氧化碳。因此,长此以往大气中的二氧化碳将达到危险含量。
