金融资本主义世界的劳工问题

工会同金融世界的纷战由来已久,但这种敌对不应该影响到他们之间的共同利益,即广泛地以及创造性地使用金融工具。我们生活在一个金融资本主义世界,对于工会以及其他代表劳方的团体来说,唯一明智的方法是帮助他们的会员充分利用日益成熟的风险管理工具。

传统意义上的劳方和资方之间的分界线正变得模糊。举例来说,公司会把股票期权纳入报酬计划中,借此逐步增长员工的工资,即便是普通员工也不例外。据美国的劳工部2003年的报告,14%受雇于拥有百人以上的美国公司的雇员被提供股票期权作为薪金的一部分。将来这种报酬计划将变得更为普遍。

问题在于,大多数雇员并不充分理解股票期权的概念,而且不知道如何评估手中的股票。麻省理工大学教授尼泰·伯格曼和德克·简特最近共同发布的一个报告显示,当雇员对公司股票的前景极其乐观的时候,公司管理层就会倾向于向员工提供股票期权,借机有效地用标价过高的股票期权取代全薪。
