日本的自杀式隔绝

日本似乎决意要在亚洲实行自我封闭。日本首相小泉纯一郎改善对华关系的表面文章做了不过几个月,他对备受争议的靖国神社的第五次参拜就再次点燃了怒火。中国和韩国取消了各自外长与日本外相的会晤。于是,在亚洲这个没有合作性国际组织、而仅靠信任来维系相互关系的世界,日本再一次丧失了重新建立信任的良机。

日本为什么还不明白,它对待历史的态度会在二战时被日军占领过的所有亚洲国家引起强烈的反响?日本的所作所为所显示的是固执得异乎寻常的自以为是。

正如日本政府一直指出的那样,1869年修建的靖国神社供奉着250万为国捐躯的日本烈士,而不仅仅是那14名二战期间受到审判的日本战犯。但小泉政府指责(其说法似乎也不无道理)韩国,特别是中国政府利用靖国神社事件来削弱日本的地区影响,煽动公众强烈的民族主义情绪的说法却显然并未切中要害。
