应该禁止极端主义政党吗?

普林斯顿—希腊政府取缔了该国极右翼的金色黎明党(Golden Dawn),这引起了一个自冷战结束以来便似乎消失了的问题:在自由民主国家,可以存在显然是反民主的政党吗?

平心而论,自由民主国家自1989年共产主义崩溃以来便一直感受到威胁——但大部分来自外国恐怖分子,他们的意图不是组建政党和进入议会。那么,寻求在民主框架内参与竞争的极端主义政党应该被定位非法吗?还是这样的言论和结社自由限制本身破坏了这一框架?
