特拉维夫—十年前,在以色列建国50周年之际,经由奥斯陆协议的铺垫,和平进程启动了。由以巴当局在1993年达成的该协议确立了两个民族以领土妥协为基础,共享祖国的国家存在的合法性。人们广泛地认为这一长期冲突正得到解决。

不幸的是,过去的十年见证了这一进程在许多方面的严重挫折。如果对更美好的未来和冲突的解决还有希望,那么个人和民族就都能够承受艰难困苦。但一种突然的倒退可能导致绝望,而这就是我们现今所感受到的。
