Prezident Evropské centrální banky Jean-Claude Trichet na tiskové konferenci po květnové schůzce Rady guvernérů ECB učinil prohlášení nikoliv tím, co řekl, ale tím, co neřekl. Trichet, který příležitostně vyjadřoval nelibost s posilováním eura, odmítl vznést námitku proti jeho zhodnocování, třebaže jej k tomu povzbudilo několik reportérů.
Jde o znamení, že se v Evropě obrací vlna ve prospěch silnějšího eura? Nebo to prostě odráží fakt, že se dnes ECB vrací ke své staré politice za žádných okolností nekomentovat směnné kurzy?
Odpověď se může vyjasnit příští čtvrtek na červnové schůzce, kdy bude sílící euro nesporně znovu nadneseno na tiskové konferenci.
