牛津——过去10年来,新增网络用户数达原有用户数的3倍。但尽管绝大多数世界人口仍未实现联网,但互联网扩张的步伐却在近几年急剧放缓。网络革命的动力是否正在消退?

从2005到2008年,联网用户数复合年增长率高达15.1%,联网用户数也因此达到约27亿。但麦肯锡全球研究院最新发布的一份报告显示,2010-2013年增长率滑落至 10.4%。鉴于联网巨大的经济效益,想方设法为世界剩余的四十亿人口提供联网接入服务应该引起我们的高度重视。

当然,要想实现目标谈何容易。在34亿未联网人口中,约四分之三都生活在20个国家。2012年,未联网人口的64%生活在仅有24%网络用户的农村,其中约半数处于各自国家的贫困线和平均收入以下。约18%未联网人口年龄超过54岁,而在线人口中年龄超过54岁的仅有7%,另外有28%的人是文盲,而网民的识字率接近100%。最后,在联网人口中仅占42%的女性却在未联网人口中占到52%的份额。
