L’éclat de l’Inde

BOMBAY – Chaque jour, un petit avion japonais dépose une soixantaine d’hommes d’affaire Tokyoïtes venant flairer de nouvelles opportunités commerciales à Bombay et au cœur de l’économie indienne. Tout cela est emprunt d’une touche de calcul géopolitique naturellement. Le Japon s’inquiétant de l’ascension de la Chine, il devient pressant de rechercher des investissements chez l’autre grand géant asiatique.

Mais tout cela n’est pas qu’affaire de politique. Les hommes d’affaires Japonais sont peut-être un peu surpris par le chaos créatif indien ; la culture argumentative peut leur sembler quelque peu étrange. Par contre, ils savent reconnaître une opportunité lucrative dans un marché de plus en plus porteur lorsqu’ils en voient une.

Et ils en voient une dans le glorieux Technicolor indien – la version Bollywood d’Adam Smith. Lorsque la société japonaise Daiichi Sankyo payât 4,6 billions de dollars pour devenir majoritaire au sein du groupe pharmaceutique Ranbury en 2008, ils pariaient sur un succès d’entreprise continu. Au vu des taux de croissance indiens, qui pourrait sérieusement remettre en doute leur décision ?
