2013年的政治经济学

发自纽波特滩——眼看着美国领导人在2012年最后那几天奋力挣扎着避免出现“财政悬崖”以免经济陷入衰退的状况,恰好体现出一个令人沮丧的事实:混乱的政治依旧是经济发展的主要驱动力。

对某些国家来说,2012年的政治是一股积极力量:例如意大利总理马里奥·蒙蒂(Mario Monti)将自己的国家从金融风暴边缘力挽狂澜的能力。然而在别的国家,比如希腊,政治体制功能失调则导致了经济问题的进一步恶化。

政治经济两者之间这种密切和清晰的关系很可能在2013年依然延续。尽管如此,我们也会估计在影响力上会出现更为明显的割裂——而其后果则会同时影响到单个国家以及整个全球经济系统
