团购网:“美丽新市场”?

互联网公司应该总在时代前沿,但是时尚与现实难免存在冲突。以团购网为例:其卖点是团体的力量,但是实际上就是用传统的直邮营销和优惠券来做生意。但是团购网使这种模式扩展到一个更广的圈子——这里不是指那些优惠券用户,而是那些提供优惠券的商家。事实上,团购网利用电邮营销就和其他互联网公司提供黄页或是分类广告是一样的道理-都是鼓励商家通过现代科技来招揽顾客。

很明显,这种模式对众多消费者都行得通:团购网现已拥有超过5千万的注册用户,并且有望在年底达到1亿5千万。去年的营业收益约为7亿6千万美元,约占总交易额的一半,而今年很可能达到20亿美元。与大多数互联网公司不同的是,相对其巨额收益,它还有大约5000名雇员。
