2016年要兑现的承诺

达沃斯——我们生活在一个非常时期。每天的头条似乎都有危机发生——无论是移民、经济波动、安全还是气候变化。这些前所未有的复杂挑战共同的因素是贫困;因此消除贫困会降低战胜危机的难度。

有充分理由对控制不平等问题的进展持乐观态度。从世纪之交开始,我们就朝着人人过健康、丰富生活的社会迈出了坚实的一步。产妇死亡人数减少近一半;儿童和疟疾死亡人数减少近一半;极端贫困人口的减少已经超过半数。去年,世界各国决定完成这项任务。

联合国193个国家9月一致同意的全球目标核心是到2030年结束世界各地一切形式的贫困。我们相信完成这项任务不仅可能,而且执行过程中我们将会看到为贫困国家民众提供前所未有机会的重大突破。事实上,我们认为今后15年贫困人口的生活改善将超过以往任何时候——而且他们的生活改善也会超过其他人的幅度。
