内罗毕—拯救世界森林、改善70亿人口生活前进的成本几何?几天后,印度海德拉巴将举办联合国生物多样性会议。与会各国将考虑提高为达成雄心勃勃的爱知生物多样性目标(Aichi Biodiversity Targets)而投入的必要资源。爱知目标是两年前日本联合国生物多样性会议上提出的。

爱知目标要求在2020年将地球原始森林流失率减少一半。在海德拉巴,各国政府将讨论增加达成该目标投入的可能成本。

一项估计表明,若想在爱知目标期限之前实现森林毁坏率下降一半并保证发展中国家的森林可持续管理,每年就必须投入400亿美元。在全球失业率高企、众多国家仍在持续发酵的金融和经济危机中挣扎、更有不少国家已经陷入破产状态的时期,这看起来是笔巨大的数字。
