欧洲究竟是民主还是崩溃?

柏林——“欧洲将实现民主或土崩瓦解!”这句格言不仅是我刚在柏林创立欧洲民主运动——DiEM25宣言中多次出现的流行语。这是一个很多人还没有意识到的简单事实。

欧洲目前的解体太过真实。放眼望去新的隔阂似乎无所不在:沿着边境线的两侧、存在于经济社会内部和隐藏在欧洲民众的心里。

难民危机的最新转折显示出欧洲统一性的丧失。欧洲领导人呼吁土耳其总统雷杰普·塔伊普·埃尔多安面向饱受战争蹂躏的叙利亚城市阿勒颇难民开放其边界;同时,他们却严厉批评希腊让同样的难民涌入“欧洲”领土,甚至威胁要在希腊和欧洲其他国家的边境上设立围栏。
