欧洲与乌克兰的团结

几代波兰人都梦想着欧洲战后的分裂状态有一天能够改变。几代乌克兰人的国籍、语言和文化权利也被无情地剥夺。20世纪的60、70和80年代,一个信念将倍受良知谴责的欧洲人联系在一起,那就是终有一天,他们的国家将在统一的欧洲大地上站稳脚跟。

5月1日加入欧盟实现了波兰人的梦想。虽然乌克兰人依旧前途未卜,但未来走向的重要决策也已迫在眉睫。欧盟将在5月确立与新邻居们和平共处的原则,而6月召开的北约会议将探讨乌克兰加入联盟的前景。今年秋天,乌克兰的总统大选将决定该国今后数十年的发展。

在这关键时刻,我们呼吁欧洲向乌克兰这个伟大的国家张开双臂,建设新欧洲的过程中,我们不能忘记它的需求和渴望。欧洲与乌克兰不应仅限于邻里,我们应该明确表示:乌克兰有现实的机会加入北约和欧盟。
