    巴黎--食品价格前所未有地暴涨震撼了世界。因饥饿引发的骚乱以及社会紧张关系表明食品供应再次成为动荡因素,而全球气候变暖以及日益下降的自然资源则给这一空前的紧急局势火上加油。人们估计,到2050年全世界将会有九十亿人口,因此食品需求可能翻番,而这些需求主要来自世界最贫困国家的城市人口。

    但是为了寻找解决途经,仅仅确定那些有能力给世界提供粮食的国家是不够的。目前,每个国家在粮食上自给自足越发紧迫。这就意味着农业应该成为国际优先重点问题,帮助最贫困国家维护其食品供应安全和独立。

    各国和国际组织已经行动起来。联合国粮农组织认为,食品价格上扬导致全球冲突增加。达沃斯世界经济论坛把食品供应脆弱列为对人类的主要威胁。世界银行已经大力强调农业在促使经济增长以及打破贫困循环上的重要性。联合国秘书长潘基文成立了工作组来制定行动规划,而法国总统萨尔科奇建议创立全球食品伙伴关系。
