发自牛津——最近有研究发现宇宙的膨胀速度并未减缓,而是如原先推导的那样逐渐加速。来自远方恒星爆炸所产生的光揭示出在宇宙学范畴内存在一种比引力更加强大的未知力量(人们称之为“暗能量”)。

但出乎研究者意料的是,阿尔伯特·爱因斯坦在1915年修正自身引力理论时就已经预判了这一力量的存在。但他随后却放弃了这一名为“宇宙项”的修正,并将其称之为一生中“最严重的失误”。

于是各大报章头条都惊呼:“爱因斯坦最后还是对的!”仿佛科学家们都是一帮拥有千里眼顺风耳,洞察不可知事物的特异人士——而这些不可知事物包括一些尚未进行,甚至还未构想出来的实验所得出的结果。试问这些擅长马后炮的人中又有谁曾经做出过准确预测?
