中国的意志胜利

莫斯科-当北京奥运会在几天后举行开幕式时,观众们会看到一场经过精心设计的、浸透着民族主义庸俗演出。当然,会让人回想起希特勒迈着正步走的冲锋队的画面绝对不是中国领导人想让人们留下对奥运会的印象;不管怎样,官方的中华民族主义宣扬的是这个国家将依靠田园诗般的“和谐发展”来实现“和平崛起”。但是,不管是在美学上还是在政治上,这种描述都不着边际。

事实上,选择希特勒的心腹、1936年柏林奥运会的建筑师和设计师的儿子小阿尔伯特·斯佩尔来设计北京奥运会的总体规划,中国政府本身就暗示了美学的极端政治化正是二十世纪极权主义的一大特征。像那些政权一样,不管是法西斯政权或是共产主义政权,中国的领导人一直在寻求将公共场所和体育比赛项目转化成他们能胜任并且授权统治这个国家的可见证明。

小斯佩尔的使命是为进入北京的奥林匹克建筑群的大道制定总体规划。他的设计主要集中在建设一条连接紫禁城与将举行开幕式的国家体育场之间的气势宏伟的大道。而他的父亲为“日尔曼尼亚” 、也就是希特勒为计划在二战后建设的柏林所选择的名称所进行的规划也主要依赖这一宏伟的中轴线。
