Chinas grüne Autofahrer

PEKING – Anfang dieses Monats kündigte die chinesische Regierung eine weitere kühne Maßnahme an, um die Verstopfung auf den Straßen und die Kohlendioxidemissionen zu verringern: Die Behörden haben sich zum Ziel gesetzt, 60% aller Kraftfahrzeugfahrten in Städten auf den öffentlichen Verkehr zu verlagern, und die Regierung in Peking drängt die Bezirksregierungen, mehr emissionsfreie und alternative Fahrzeuge zu verwenden.

China ist weiterhin der größte Markt für fossil betriebene Fahrzeuge, aber es wird immer klarer, dass die Regierung dort vorhat, im Bereich der sauberen Mobilität Weltmarktführer zu werden. Dabei wird das Land von der Renault-Nissan-Allianz unterstützt.

Nissan ging 2003 an den chinesischen Markt, als die Konsumenten dort 4,5 Millionen Autos kauften. Skeptiker meinten damals, Nissan sei in China „zu spät dran“: Der chinesische Markt schien vollständig gesättigt. Zu der Zeit befand sich der führende Absatzmarkt für Autos in den Vereinigten Staaten, wo jährlich über 16 Millionen Autos und Lastwagen verkauft wurden.
