中国的内部分歧

发自丹佛——最近几年谈论美国衰落的声音越来越多,相应的是中国将取而代之的论调。虽然美国无疑面临着亟待解决的问题,但对于中国来说,如果不能解决好自家的事情,就无法实现进一步崛起,更别提在国际上取代美国了。

那些认为美国正在走向衰落的人很难从经济角度解释自己的说法。美国最近的确遇上了困难(对许多国家来说这算不上什么困难),但仍然是工业和革新的火车头,而且很有可能在未来崛起成为一个能源大国。

真正威胁美国在全球领导地位的,其实是这个国家在国内政治上出现的各种史无前例的分歧和争议。美国人民一直以来都是勇于实践的人民。但是在今天,过多的理论和思想,以及所谓的“新思维”正在使这个国家陷入了疲惫虚弱的状态当中。这种情况遏制了那些本应由与政治对手之间建设性互动而产生的具有实践意义的理念。
