中国强硬的邻国政策于己不利

丹佛——中国正面临着困难时期。在经历数十年高达两位数的GDP增长之后,今天的经济放缓标志着经济体系出现问题。曾经被誉为发展典范的中国经济现在却看似僵硬笨重。中国公众情绪日益躁动,并且对体制能否兑现延续国家经济“奇迹”的官方承诺感到怀疑。许多中国人担心“中国梦”可能只是梦想而已。

中国无法通过拉动适当组合的现有经济杠杆来解决经济问题。相反,它必须着手进行广泛和深层次的改革创新过程;它必须愿意为长期利益吞下短期增长放缓的苦果。

与此同时,全面的改革努力不能仅靠经济决策来推动。中国必须认识到它希望留给世界的印象和世界对其实际印象的差距。中国应当从经济领域吸取教训,认识到自身在世界舞台上的行动和关系对其信誉所造成的严重影响——同样受到影响的还有它的底线。
