أبناء الرجال الفرنسيين

من بين السمات المحيرة والتي كثيراً ما يغفلها المحللون في فرنسا، التي انتخبت نيكولا ساركوزي رئيساً لها، والتي تستعد الآن لمنح حلفائه السياسيين تفويضاً برلمانياً قوياً، ذلك الخليط العجيب من التفاؤل الخاص والتشاؤم العام.

ولنتأمل هذه الحقيقة: تتمتع فرنسا بأعلى معدلات الخصوبة بين بلدان الاتحاد الأوروبي (أقل قليلاً من طفلين لكل أنثى)، حتى أنها تسبق أيرلندا المزدهرة بالمواليد. مما لا شك فيه أن هذا المعدل في حد ذاته لا يكفي للحفاظ على تعداد سكان فرنسا الحالي عند مستواه الحالي، إلا أنه أقوى كثيراً من نظيره في الدول الأوروبية المجاورة، ويكاد يعادل نظيره في الولايات المتحدة. رغم ذلك، تؤكد استطلاعات "يوروباروميتر" على نحو متكرر أن الفرنسيين هم الأكثر تشاؤماً بين كافة الأوروبيين حين يتصل الأمر بمستقبل بلدهم. كيف يمكن لأناس يتعاملون بهذا الكم من السلبية إزاء مستقبلهم المشترك كأمة أن يتحلوا بمثل هذه الثقة في بناء مستقبلهم الخاص في إطار أسرهم؟

بعد سنوات من الفشل الحكومي في تحجيم معدلات البطالة الهائلة، يُـنْـظَر إلى الفرنسيين اليوم باعتبارهم شعباً تقاعد من المحيط السياسي حتى تتسنى له الفرصة للتركيز على حياته وأوقات فراغه. فالمتاحف، والحدائق العامة، والنوادي من كافة الأشكال تشهد ازدهاراً واضحاً في فرنسا اليوم. ويبدو أن الجمعيات الخاصة قد بدأت حيث انتهت الأحزاب السياسية والنقابات التجارية.
