旅行网站大约从20世纪90年代就开始出现,Expedia、Travelocity和其他假日预定网站就兴趣于那时候,旅行者轻点鼠标就能比较航班和饭店价格。信息不再掌握在旅行社手中或藏身于商务网络,旅游业因此迎来了革命,透明度的增加刺激了价格的下降。
