默克尔的远景问题

发自剑桥——在欧洲挣扎着拯救欧元之际,对世界各大经济体缺乏强势领导的抱怨也甚嚣尘上。其中许多人都专门点了德国总理安格拉·默克尔的名,认为她未能像其前任和导师赫尔穆特·科尔那样为欧洲树立一个长远的愿景。那么这种说法是对的吗?

作为一名优秀的领导者,其中一部分工作就是要传达一种远景,既能以此为相关政策赋予意义,也可借此发动民众对这些政策(及其倡议者)给于支持。这同时也是领导人之间构建共同目标,为集体行动注入活力的途径之一。这个远景通常会勾画一副鼓动变革的未来图景,但有时也会绘声绘色地描绘现状——或者辉煌的过去——以抵制变革。

而一旦缺乏远景,上述两种方式都将无法引领众人。对此联邦快递首席执行官弗里德里克·斯密斯曾说:“领导的首要任务就是为组织传达远景和价值观。”
