关于两场选举的故事

伦敦——个人参与投票的选举不一定就是代表着民主,所以说在一个自由多元的社会里,投票箱虽然很重要,但也不能代表全部的民意。当然,也有一些有关选举正面的例子,淫威对社会的稳定和种族的和谐都有好处。

 我们刚刚见证了一个不一样的印度,作为世界上最大的和最伟大的民主体,国大党领导的政府赢得了由4亿2千万选民参加的选举,获得了压倒性的胜利。从某些意义上来说,这也是印度总理曼莫汉·辛格的个人胜利。他的胜利表明,选举也可以通过有尊严,诚实和高智商地方式获得。为了推进在一个相互包容的多元社会的文明选举,而不是一个以阶层,种族,语言和宗教来分裂人群的选举,索尼娅·甘地和她的家族也有一定的贡献。
