معاداة السامية الجديدة

إنها لأوقات عصيبة عنيفة تلك التي نمر بها. ويتصور بعض الناس أننا نمر بتجربة تشتمل على نوع جديد من الصراع: "الحروب الثقافية"، مثل تلك الحرب الدائرة بين السُـنّة والشيعة من المسلمين أو الجماعات القَـبَلية في أفريقيا وآسيا، أو بين الإسلاميين والغربيين. ولكن الأسباب العميقة الكامنة وراء هذه الصراعات قد تكون أكثر تقليدية مما نتصور.

إن الانتماء إلى طائفة ثقافية بعينها ليس أكثر من ستار أو ذريعة للمعارك الدائرة بين الفائزين والخاسرين في مملكة العولمة. وتلجأ الزعامات متحجرة المشاعر إلى تعبئة وتجنيد الأتباع من بين المحيرين الذين ضلوا الطريق. والخاسرون بصورة خاصة، والذين يمثلهم في أغلب الأحوال الشباب الذين لم يعد لديهم مستقبل يتطلعون إليه، يمكن تحريضهم حتى على ارتكاب أعمال انتحارية ضد العدو المزعوم.

وقد لا يكون من المدهش في وقت كهذا، أن تبرز إلى السطح من جديد أقدم المشاعر البغيضة التي تتمثل في معاداة السامية. والحقيقة أن عودة هذه المشاعر تتخذ الشكل الكلاسيكي التقليدي الذي يستهدف الأفراد، مثل مقتل أحد الشباب اليهود مؤخراً في فرنسا، أو تشويه أماكن ذات طابع رمزي، مثل المقابر والمعابد. ولكن هناك أيضاً مفهوم أكثر عمومية للعداوة تجاه كل ما هو يهودي.
