  • Inequality is Killing Capitalism

Are we witnessing the same era that karl marx observed during the industrial revolution where workers were slaved and employers enjoyed the fruits????
I think rather than government control in many areas, where we are seeing many socialist ideas in the democratic and free countries, Free market concepts should be utilized more so than we would like as the results are better in Free market than under any other forms of government policies...

  • America’s Trouble with China

It is outrageous to comment that America has to expand its military capability to counter attack the growing Chinese influence in the Asia. Personally America has a bigger role to manipulate other countries to conduct its action so that no untoward incidents in the world happen. We don't at any cost need any war in the future and i really admire the Barack Obama's vision of nuclear proliferation and focussing more on domestic issues like unemployment and growth and happiness of low income groups.

  • The World According to Xi

Xi Jinping as a next leader of People's republic of China faces more domestic security and peace than foreign policies as many analysts would otherwise suggest. Currently more than 25 Tibetans self immolated in the month of November 2012 totalling to 89 since 2009. He definitely has to understand the reasons behind such incidents and bring forth the necessary political reform. Until and unless he caresses the internal problems, his positions to negotiate internationally looses credibility though we understand China's foreign exchange reserve is having certain effect but that is not going to last for long. So I hope that when he talks about the development of the nation, he propels the inclusive development considering all the minorities in China and not the mainland China where Han Chinese are the majority.

  • Rio’s Unsustainable Nonsense

Sustainable development is the way forward for all the countries irrespective of its GDP percentage. How we come to the conclusion where all the nations abide by the law of clean environment is the question of when? sooner or later it has to come because we have already paid heavy price for the pollution caused by the industrial development. The next question is whether economist can come with the idea of growth as well as clean environment model for the nation in future. We have huge moral incentive to work for clean environment for future generation and i dont think the idea of trade off can't be applied here bewteen clean environment and growth.

  • Nixon Then, China Now

For all its obstacles that lie ahead in China's rise to superpower, i see one solution only for the nation and that is to chang the country from one regime to democractic. Is it difficult???Certainly yes..... In the short term, social cost might be high but then long run the social benefit will be higher than cost.
