Fernando H. Cardoso

Fernando Henrique Cardoso was President of Brazil (1995-2003), overseeing widespread denationalization of industry and significant disinflation, thereby helping to jump-start subsequent growth. He currently serves as a member of the editorial board of Americas Quarterly and as a member of The Elders, a group of statesmen and humanitarians brought together by Nelson Mandela.
